My name is Muskie, no really, my dad came up with it...

Some people on here know me from the old 40K Mailing List, or the Canadian GT scene, or the Internet.

I've been playing 40K since 1993 so 15 years this year, but I've never been to Astronomi-con. Now that it is in Vancouver and I'm in Vancouver and I know a fair few people coming or alumni or whatever. I'll be there. I'll register tomorrow maybe. I'm not a big fan of PayPal and I'm too tired to deal with it, but apparently not too tired to surf the internet.

I'm most well known for playing Nurgle, painting things purple and green, and having a painting style described by Paul Sawyer as "Insane!".

I hope to move on to something than Nurgle, ie other Chaos Powers, back to Orks, WFB, Necromunda, Bloodbowl. But I'm slow and GW keeps releasing new Nurgle stuff. For a while I had the goal of every plaguemarine/Nurgle Renegade and every Plaguebearer ever made. But I can't keep up I think I have enough. But even so I'll get some of the new Forgeworld conversion bitz just for fun. They'll end up as Nurgle bikers and Nurgle havocs...

Although I'd love to do something new and innovative even revolutionary, I think the Diseased Sons will have one swan song before I have time to paint an army's worth of non-Nurgle models. I seriously think I could get my RT/2nd Edition Orks tournament ready quicker. Sure they wouldn't win any painting contests but they'd be wacky and green and of course purple. Razz

Hey Muskie!!

Welcome aboard.

I know Muskie from the old 40k Mailing list (the good old days!), the Canadian GT scene (the good days not so long ago), and the Internet. Wink

Glad to see you've found your way home.

The best part of Astronomi-con are the people. There may even be a few familiar names on here from past Canadian GT's - Dean Gilbert was there with us at Calgary in 2002.

Anyway, welcome to the fold!

I think I joined the forums a year or more ago... But I decided to just buy a ticket. So if I'm alive I'll be there. Of course I got to get painting and practicing or I may have to wait until after the first week in June...

Hello all,

I've been meaning to join the forums and come to one of the con's but something always seems to crop up. However, I'm planning on attendeing at least one Astro in 2009.

I've been playing since the Rogue Trader back in the late 80's.

ATM I have two armies, 4000 pts of Tau that need some serious updating and an insane amount of Eldar (Saim Hann) that seems to be growing of its own accord now.

At present I've just started a new Imp. Guard army, which I hope will be my army for Astro next year, if I can get myself motivated to paint something other than Space Elves.

Hello everybody...
Marshall here - finally joined the forums.
Been to the past 3 Vancouver Astronomi-cons. I play Imperial Guard; a large army with far too many conscripts (will post fluff eventually). I've also got millions of side projects... none of which will probably ever see the light of day.
Any ways, so yes - i'm here!

It's about time I posted on here.

My name is Doug, and I've been to the last 3 Astro Torontos. Ended up in the middle of the pack, not bad for me. I play Marines, and Orks, but I have a Dark Eldar army that's in a state of disrepair, and Necrons which just need a refurbishing.

That's about it. Have fun!
