I have just found out about this bizarre event (it's not a race!) held in August this year run by MDC:
August 11 (Sat) (provisional date) Bob Smith Traverse:
The annual attempt at 45-50 miles of running over and cycling between the six 800 metre summits of south Wales, from Llanddeusant to the Grwyne Valley. Not a race but a grand and rather demanding day out.
Sounds like a perfect one for our club members, particularly Matt!

That sounds like a perfect training day for me. It would put me spot on for IMUK on August 19 |

| Quote: | The event is goimg ahead but will be on Sunday 12th not 11th due to popular demand. Start is at the Llynyfan car park at 1100. The object is to visit B Brycheiniog, Duwynt, Corn Du, Penyfan, Waun Fach and Penygader with the finish at the end of the road in the Grwyne Valley. Use bikes where you like and there are no fixed changeovre points. There is still debate about the best route so it is most fun if you work it out yourself rather than rely on me. You will have to be self sufficient with suppotr.
Remember this is not a race and is only a fun day out and there is no support on the hills. BYO champagne and cream cakes for the finish!
Hope to see you. If you need any advice ring me on 01656 880009.
