No news updates that I can find.
Theragain, the Hebrides is probably more remote than Mongolia, so hardly surprising.... _________________ Running, Adventure Racing, Triathlon, Biking - Inov8, Craft, Under Armour, Buff, Raidlight, OMM, Marmot, nuun plus loads more.... WWW.LIKEYS.COM |

Hey guys, I'm back and exhausted
I had an amazing time in a fantastic location. What a unique race
I will tell more with photos later in the week. We finished the full course and are awaiting the full results, but it looks like my team may have come about 6th out of 17 teams
I highly recommend this race to you all as a fabulous experience and as intro to the really long expedition style races. I would love to go back with the club and possibly arrange 2 teams next year. It's that good!!
I did anything from 4 to 8 hours of racing per day and all at fairly high intensity, the team usually raced from 6am to 9pm for 5 days with a meal provided in the evenings and then camping
I'm off to bed at last!!!! _________________ "The greatest pleasure in life, is doing the things people say we cannot do." |

Just to note that this well respected race is back on the calendar with a new race director in charge. Entries are filling up fast apparently. http://www.hebrideanchallenge.com/team_format
The man that knows (nearly) all the answer is our Steven - Over the latter half of the year I've had to endure hours of "When I was in the Heb ......"

I would still love to go back and do this one again
If we put together a team early then we would have lots of time to prepare and train together for its complex logistics, but we could easily get top 5 placing and have a great time
We would need a Level 4 Sea-Kayaker though

Hamish is a bit of a kayaker and he's from Scotland, so based on that last fact I reckon we might be in with a chance ...... _________________ The biggest supplier of kit to UK entrants in the MdS and other extreme ultra's. Hamish isn't very good with "complex logistics" though

Anyway, I would be interested, but I don't think the timing is good for me (sleep deprevation etc...) |
