I know Summer has yet to arrive, just wondering if anyone has anything interesting planned for the winter months?

Probably some of the winter fell series again
Other than that no real plans.
Looking to put together a Brecon Multisport vs Brecon AC duathlon in October as well, which is a date for your diary. _________________ Hope is the last thing to die!

Currently I'm training for the OMM which some idiot persuaded me to enter (or was it the other way round?) This should lead nicely in to the Winter Fell Series which I shall also be doing. It sounds like Matt and Trevor migh also be joining us on that venture - maybe we should get some hill training sessions going between us over the autmn /winter.
Maybe I'll go for some longer races too over the winter before the next baby arrives, or possibly some winter adventure races _________________ "The greatest pleasure in life, is doing the things people say we cannot do." |

I'd be up for the Blacks, p'raps even the killer loop. Adam's coming up for the weekend. We might even go surfing (sunday looks better surf) or hit the forestry trails
Saturday morning killer loop then? _________________ "The greatest pleasure in life, is doing the things people say we cannot do." |

Thanks to Matt for a top ride last Monday, 6 hours of the best MTB trails the Black Mountains have to offer.
I thought it was particularly thoughtful, but unnecessary, for you to keep falling off, making us all feel slightly adequate.
We should do it again soon (sorry Dave).

Glad you enjoyed the ride ... As for falling off lots, I think I was nervous at riding with such estemed company although I'm not sure who won the crash stats in the end _________________ The biggest supplier of kit to UK entrants in the MdS and other extreme ultra's. Great to hear that Ryan, looks like Ian will be joining us on the track too, but it might be a bit early for fell racing for him. You might find a bit more competition on the track now that we have the Athletics Club training with us
It sounds like quite a few of us will be fell-racing this year: me, Matt, Barry, Trev and Dave
There are races all over the UK and Wales during Autumn. The Winter Series starts in October, with the first race a short but severe route up Fan Fawr
SAT.OCT 6. FAN FAWR. AS. 2.00 p.m.
2miles/1000' from lay-by opposite Storey Arms on A470 Merthyr - Brecon road (GR 983203). £1 on day only
See the Welsh Fellrunning and UK Fellrunner websites
As for off-road duathlons, I hope to be running a mini-adventure race for the club in the next few months so keep an eye on things. If you've got any particular race in mind then tell us what, and we'll all run away as you're too good! _________________ "The greatest pleasure in life, is doing the things people say we cannot do." |

You meant felling running right? Fell racing is a concept I'm not prepared to entertain just yet
I've got just the venue if you're looking for an off road duathlon course too. |
