I'm aiming for a gentle road ride this Sunday 3rd November. Starting from Brecon Leisure Centre at 10:30 I'll be doing 15 - 20 miles at a leisurely pace, hopefully finishing about 12 ish.
Haven't been on the bike for ages so just looking to get used to turning the legs over again. Andy has said he's coming but the more the merrier.
Hopefully see some of you there. |

I can 2nd Steve's thanks there. It was good to get out on my New Machine and get a few miles in the tyres. Helped me to iron out a few things with the bike. I think my foot position on the peddle needs to be more forward and seat needs to go back a bit but only the 1st ride on a racing bike ever so thanks to all who turned up. Advice etc much appreciated as was everyone's company who hung back and waited for me to catch up on some of the ever so slight gradients (although they felt like the Pyranees yesterday. That last climb was never ending.
PS I think a few of you should have been done for speeding on that last sprint back to the Leisure Centre (Steve and Trev). I thought I was going ok until you pair came whisteling past.
PPS No aching limbs today and my a$$ is surprisingly ok
PPPS my mountain bike eventually fitted in the attic after several failed attempts which included falling off the ladder with bike on top of me, a hole in the wall (which my other half doesn't know about), and it being completely dismantled in the end. _________________ Honest I'm going to do a Triathlon. I meant tri-harder Andy - although he might be Andrew too. There's lots of Andrews in the club, it's getting confusing!!
Really enjoyed the ride, lovely weather and good company and great to get back on the bike again. I'll certainly be up for a few more rides. |

I seem to go by any name really and it doesn't bother me if I'm called Andy or Andrew. The Tue swim session sounded good but unfortunately I had a bit of a cold and didn't want to risk making it worse. Will definitely be there next Tue though.
