Now that I have my bike rebuilt, I fancy going out for a ride, only problem being that it's dark, so it'll have to be a night ride. I will be leaving Bwlch at 8pm this wednesday for about 2 hours, perhaps with a light refreshment afterwards. It shouldn't be raining by wednesday
Please bring decent lights that will last the ride
You never know, it could turn into a regular thang _________________ "The greatest pleasure in life, is doing the things people say we cannot do." |

Hi Steve, not that this is any good to you at all but I would have come for a ride on Wednesday but for my bike being in Cardiff and I would have to pick it up and take it back down there afterwards. All my other kit I keep in the car such as Helmet, shoes etc etc.
When I eventually manage to move to Abergavenny (my house is bound to sell (please someone buy it)) I'll be in close reach of Brecon, Bwlch etc plus will have a place to store my bikes.

The freewheel on my machine is knackered. It went after about 20 miles on the Real Ale Wobble on Saturday or I might well have joined you for the ride. Might see you later in New Inn.
By the way I sank about 10pints at Llanwrtyd on Saturday so I reckon I must have managed about 18mpg! which is pretty good for rough off-road driving. Something for you to aim for tonight, perhaps Steve. |

Hi,
Just found out that the folks I normally night ride with on a wednesday have wussed out so I'd be up for a ride if that's ok? Do a fair amount of riding both road and xc, the only thing is that I've never ridden with you lot before and don't really know where in Bwlch to meet. I hope someone checks this before 730 or it could be a solitary ride...
Cheers

Hi Neil
My house is 5 Buckland Drive, just behind the shop in Bwlch, which is by the road to Llangors. Don't think there's many others so don't worry about pace, I'll be taking it easy anyway

Ah stop it Steve, i'm blushing! I can put one foot in front of the other and i've recently got rid of my stabilisers (though I think I could have done with them at the Wobble the other weekend!).
It was indeed good to get out and see an old hill from a new perspective. If anyone is up for a road or mtb ride at any time then just holler, i'm particulary keen to fill a currently empty Tuesday night with a ride of some description (probably road or even turbo as I don't think I could face cleaning the mtb 2 nights in a row).
