As some of you might know this little baby has been occupying both Matt and my minds quite a bit over the last few months.....
At long last it has arrived - www.britishultra.com -
The site still probably needs a little tweaking, but the principle details are now up there for all to see.
I have little doubt that this event will suit both first time entrants to the World of Ultra racing but also has the potential to possibly humble a few veterans on the way too.
One question that is bound to be asked is how long are the stages and ultimately the overall distance. Havent got an answer to this one quite yet, although the route is 99% known - but the distances for most stages will be irrelevant as the terrain will be sufficiently difficult to negate any concerns over mileage.
For those obsessed with mileage, I guess that the distance will be way in excess of 100 miles and possibly a little less than 150 miles...
Our aim is to provide a sensibly priced ultra distance event in the UK in a genuinely extreme British environment that provides all the challenges one should expect of a multi day ultra event.
It would be superb to have a good entry in the first year, for me personally entering an inaugural event adds to the adventure....
Having just moved to a property with temporarily no internet access, please dont assume complacency if I dont respond immediately to any queries. Plus I am off on a jolly to Paris early tomorrow morning, so delays in responses may be inevitable.
If you are interested in taking part, there is possibly some MULTISPORT only incentives available so do speak to either Matt or I....
Cheers
