Hi Court,
I tried to include it in last night's post, but it kept telling me that I cannot post web-sites. So, search for 'MyFavoriteComicArt' at CAF, and you will get to my Gallery.
Thanks! |

Hi, I'm CC. First time I noticed Benes' art was reading Image's Glory. Amazing stuff. And then I lost track of the comic world when I entered military service. Now that I'm out, things have surely changed. Benes has totally blown away every other artist in all the quantifiable ways.
One of the first things I did was stormed my local comic store and asked for Ed Benes' work/comics. Of all five employees at that store, age ranging from 10 to maybe 45, did you know what they said to me?
"Who is Ed Benes?"
I blinked. Then I said, "You don't know Benes? Huh. So I guess this store only knows about artists who can't draw huh."
As for me, I am wholly enchanted by Ed's work. If and when he opens up his commission list, it'll become the major destination of my disposable income!

Hello,
i'm Beto, from Ceará, Brazil. Amateur penciller, planning on submitting a pitch to Image.
Check my signature for some samples of some (vaguely) recent art.
Anyway, i'm a big fan of Benes (my favorite brazillian artist, along with Colin).
Thanks! _________________ Pare de Pensar. Só Esteja Aqui.

Hello,
My name is Caroline and I have been reading comic books since I was about 7 or 8 yrs old. My first comic book was Wolverine #50 and that is what got me hooked. I always thought Wolverine was such a bada$$ and Psylocke is my favorite female character. I was so excited when they brought her into the storylines. |

HI Caroline!
I always loved the Wolverine/Psylocke stories. Especially Jim Lee's X-Men issues...268, etc. Just don't care for Psylocke back when she was wearing pink. Was that just a costume change...or did something else happen to her? She's much more badass in purple. |

Something else actually happened to her. Betsy was originally Caucasian before her body was merged with Kwannon, turning her into an Asian (the one I prefer and think is sexier and stronger). I didn't like the pink costume at all either. It looked too disco to me.
She changed costumes when she merged body and mind with a Ninja assassin named Kwannon. A Chinese crime lord called the Mandarin and the other-dimensional sorceress known as Spiral transplanted her psyche into the body of Kwannon. Kwannon, I believe, tried to commit suicide (I have to refer back to my old issues to be sure) and jumped off of a cliff, so her body was so mangled when she jumped off of the cliff that Spiral used Betsy's body and mind to help repair the damage done to Kwannon.
This process didn't kill Betsy. They just kind of took pieces of the two women and somehow shared them. Kwannon's essence came to dwell in Betsy's form and vice versa. The two women maintained their own distinct personalities, while acquiring each other's memories and skills. For a time, a brainwashed Betsy adopted the guise of Lady Mandarin -- the top assassin for the Hand, a clan of Ninja dedicated to world domination. When Kwannon succumbed to the lethal mutant plague known as the Legacy Virus, Betsy became trapped forever in her new form. |

| Yeah, ok...I don't remember any of that. Must have skipped a few years of continuity...in between when the X-Men were in the outback...and when Jim Lee was the regular penciller. |

| Yeah, all of that happened right after the outback I believe. If I remember correctly, when Betsy was found by the bad guys, it was right after she left the outback with everyone else through that vortex thing, but she was separated or something from everyone else and ended up in Japan unconscience. |

I am Alexander from NY, I am 28 and a big time comicbook fan,I am involved in the arts in different spectrums. I used to draw and paint but never cultivated my skills formally since other priorities came up. I am currently a Martial arts instructor.
I am a big time fan of the style of artwork that Ed Benes does and also the rest of his studio mates. I am currently trying to teach myself how to draw since i have gained the time to do it.
I recently ordered a commission from Fred Benes of a Sentry vs. Superman piece. |

Hi all,
I'm Frank, out in California (South Bay). I first saw Ed's work on DeviantArt, before I got back into comics. Started with Birds of Prey and I am now trying to catch up on JLA. Nice to meet you all! |

Democrats formally named Barack Obama their presidential candidate Wednesday, putting their hopes of ending eight years of Republican FFXI Gilcontrol of the White House in the hands of a man who would be the United States' first black president.
The Deleware delegation, including Abby Betts, Dofus Kamasof Feltom, Del., celebrate as they cast their votes in the roll call during the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008. [Agencies]
Former rival Hillary Rodham Clinton interruptedworld of warcraft gold a state-by-state roll call vote at the Democratic National Convention to ask delegates to make Obama's selection unanimous "in the spirit of unity, with the goal of victory." They agreed, with a roar.
Hours later, her husband added his backing. Former EVE ISKPresident Bill Clinton, whose past support for Obama has been tepid, told delegates and a national television audience that Obama "is ready to lead America and restore American leadership in the world." _________________ wow gold |
