From Roger Moy:
Hello everyone,
Just a line to remind you that there are awards for AA, A, B, C, Spring and UNGRADED at the FENLANDS CHAMPIONSHIPS and Presentation Buffet next Sunday, 4th March (briefing at 09.45) at Colne Valley.
The UNGRADED is for any Fenlands Club Member that has not registered a grading type score in the past. If you would like more information just give me a call.
Come on Lea Valley and Waveney lets see some of your members at the Championships, they will be able to see what the region is all about and meet lots of the other club members. This will be a 40 target shoot, shot once only, and then everybody will move on to the Buffet and W/L Presentations.
It was decided at the last Committee Meeting that a small charge be levied for the shoot and buffet seeing as there had been a drop in numbers entering the Winter League. Just to remind you with the exception of the affiliation fee each club pays to the Region the only income we get is from the W/L. This year it looks as if the W/L and Affiliation Fees will not quite cover the total annual running costs of the Region.

The club is called Colne Valley. A nice woodland shoot.
Not sure exactly where it is. I haven't been there in 10 years and last time I wasn't driving.
Roger is going to e-mail me a map and directions... soon as I get them I'll post them here. If I have them in time I'll bring a couple of paper copies on Saturday.

I have a 112kb PDF containing a map and directions of how to find Colne Valley. How can I attach it/post it here?
I've printed a few copies that I'll drop off at LVSA on Saturday - I'll leave them in the club house.
The directions say:
"Colne Valley is located just off the A604, between Halstead and Colchester. From there continue over the river, up the hill to White Colne. There is a pub on the left followed by a left turn. Take the left turn of the A604 signposted Bures, into Station Road. Follow this road around several bends for approximately 1 mile.
At one bend there is a road to the church that leads straight on. Continue past this turning and the site entrance is a short way further on the right. Park by the low office type buildings.

I hope this URL will take you to a StreetMap map of the area. Colne Valley is located just below where it says "88":
