Thanks to Team 'C' for setting up a great course today. Good one.
Also to Dave and Geoff (plus anyone I missed!) for clearing it all away.
I've noticed quite a few folks helping new shooters on different ranges today, and it's good to see this. There is nothing worse than turning up in crappy weather and then being left to your own devices.
I am planning to carry out a couple of days coaching when the weather gets better (May perhaps) for new shots and prospective members. PM me on this site or john.dove@lvagc.com if there is anyone interested. The sessions will be very practical. At the end of the sessions shooters will know just what to expect in a HFT event and know how to turn in a good score.
Please don't tell any potential candidates that I cornered the market in doughnuts today. How many? OOO!!! Todays top tip, insert pellet before pulling trigger....
Cheers,
John
Rested HFT next week if you fancy another challenge. |

Amber was well chuffed today ! Normally she dosent like shooting in the rain, but she was really glad she did.
She has definately been bitten by the bug. On the way home she said she wants to go to Shepreth with Dave tomorrow. I told her it s gonna be a real tricky course, Tonys 'diabolical' course. Her reply was " oh well thats good then, it will be a challenge " Go Amber, Go Amber !
Ill let you know how she gets on.

AS I FOGOT TO RESET MY SCOPE AFTER CHECKING SOMEONES PAPER TARGET I ATTEMPTED TO SHOOT AT 24 TIMES WITH THE PARALLEX SET TO 30 METRES I DECIDED TO GIVE DENNIS A CHANCE AND PULLED OUT AFTER 13 TARGETS...
IT MADE DENNIS'S DAY, HE BEAT ME AT LAST!!!!

Now that is brotherly love. I saw you when I got there and you were plastered with mud. I couldn`t have carried on taking prone shots in that mud knowing that the chances were that I would miss.
Well done Dave.
