It has been descided that we drop the re-entry in other classes, Next weeks comp. will be the last.
This was introduced to give Competitors the chance to use other sight disciplines but has not worked out as was planned !,
We always try and make the comps available and interesting to as many shooters as possible and we are always open to any suggestions on how we may do this.

It will also enable the course to be taken in at a reasonable time allowing people to get on with other forms of shooting. The last comp dragged on until after 2pm which does tend to waste most of the day.

Just in time to stop me doing the 4 eh
If someone would like to tell me what class I should do in April that won't offend anyone I would appreciate it.
The overall six month title will not be an issue in any class though, as I have decided not to renew my membership in March. To be honest it's not worth this hassle.
Good luck to the team in this years UKAHFT.

As the decision that was made to stop the continuation of multple entry I now feel, on reflection, it is equally unfair to stop this before the end of the six months period.
If there is a problem with the length of time that the comp. takes I am sure other people will help take the course down.
If anyone has anything to say about this decision it will be discused on Saturday in front of everyone as not everybody is on the forum to know what is going on.
As you can see from the forum Sean Cameron is upset about what has gone on and feels it is aimed at him, This is something that I wanted to avoid with any of our members withdrawing from competitions or leaving the club.
I hope that this will be the end of the matter.

Personnally I have nothing against re-entries in other disciplines,eg red dot, scope, open sights;in some respects it gives a larger eliment in those, and would keep the numbers up and possibly encourage more to take part (safety in numbers) .The last thing any one wants is to loose is members, I understand Shauns view in multi entries and his interest in pistols, considering the long journey he does to get to our club, and his enthuisiousm he has to be admired.Hopefully this can be sorted out Saturday but anyway the pistols should be allowed to run the full allocated time period before change is instituted, otherwise it is not fair for those who have almost completed their quota of shoots.Thats my pennorth for what its worth.

Although it is good of Dave and Alison to offer to continue the duel comps for the rest of the 6 months I feel that this is unnecessary as the only person to be affected by it is me. It will not change my decision not to renew my membership. It is not the closing of the class alone that has caused this but the constant bickering and bad feeling. For instance if you look at the previous pistol comp post I was made to feel one short of being a cheat.
Dave has done all he can to make me feel welcome at the club but the bottom line is that I don't. Maybe if I am not in line for one of the coverted end of series trophies then maybe that feeling will return if not then......
My last post was an honest one I still await direction for my next class move.
I do not really want to talk about all this on Saturday but look forward to shooting around with Dave again.

Sean, I've just looked back at the original pistol post and no where on there was anyone called a cheat or implied they were cheating.
It was stated by me, and this is only my view as I've already expressed, that there could be an advantage so perhaps we should look at the ruling for future comps.
Also you were not the only person shooting in more than one class so the post applies to other shooters too, therefore where you get this personnel feeling of "I was made to feel one short of being a cheat" I'm not sure?
You asked for clarification on rules for 3 different matters in your post and I, along with several others, gave views. Most peoples views where opposed to mine but thats the nature of opinion, everyones got one and also free to express it.
Now stop being so fragile, get down the club and shoot some pistols.
If you want direction then go shoot in all classes Saturday, win 1st place in all 3, and I'll even supply a medal for the longest distance traveled to enter the comp. _________________ Colin M.

Gentlemen, lets have a truce, remember why we started shooting in the first place, ENJOYMENT and FUN and meet like minded people. and take the piss, er oops i mean exchange some banter.
whilst i always try my best, i don't do it for trophies, just as well because i don't get many
so I'll see you Shaun on Saturday and enjoy your company as i do everyone else, in fact i challenge you to take the HOMER off me, PLEEEESE.
LETS ENJOY OURSELFS SATURDAY

Vic, I know that you currently hold the "Homer" but, As no one else has qualified, including Dennis you have to accept it, It is in no way a slur on your shooting ability just that every one is now shooting that much better, As the first recipient of the award it was allmost, repeat,Allmost an honour. If no one else wins in the near future then it will be dropped altogether.
Sean, To answer you question as to what you should use on Saturday I suggest you carry on with open and red dot disciplines, If you win them both then it is your shooting ability so to do..
