Hello everyone...
I just registered today in hopes that I may find a solution to my MM2 problems.

My troubles are so bad, I opened MM today to see what version I'm using, and as I was checking it, it hung. I didn't even try to work with it. I had to give it the old "3 finger" salute, and even then after closing it down I had some stuff left on my screen. I had to reboot.

I would really love to start using MM... I checked out Premiere for 30 days and fell in love with it. However, the price tag is a little too rich for my pocket.

I guess what I'm asking is: How can I, or what should I do to start using MM? Like I said... I can't even open it without it crashing.

I have an up to date computer... Intel core 2... 2 gigs of memory and LOTS of hard drive space. I'm running WinXP sp2.

Thanks
Bobby

Some people have found that IE7 causes this problem with MM, so if you have it installed uninstall using add/remove programmes and see if it then opens.

Hi... I should tell you that I've had this problem before IE 7. I have had problems with it ever since it came out with XP. Sometime it will open but I really can't use it because of it hanging. I've tried a few times but just gave up because of the frustration of losing my projects before I could even save them.

Thanks for your response...

Bobby

Hi...

The version number is kind of confusing...

First is says version 5.1...

And then at the bottom it says version 2.1

I'm guessing it is version 2.1... would I be correct in assuming this?

Thanks
Bobby

Look in your compatibility tab and uncheck all filters.
