Can anyone advise me how to change the location of the video source files without having to reload into the collections file and in effect re-build the project?
After some time of using MovieMaker I now realise that the best way to handle files is to store all source data on DVD's so that space on fixed discs does not get eaten up. Having already spent several hours rebuilding two projects to accept the video clips and photo's from my DVD reader I thought surely Microsoft must have anticipated people wanting to re-assign source files without the need to rebuild projects. Or am I being too logical!! |

If you move the files I'm afraid you have to reassign the data.
If all the files have been moved from A to B then showing it where file #1 is will mean that it then finds the other files, but if File #2 is in a different folder to #4 and #6 then you have to show MM all the different places you've set.
You'll find this is in common with all other apps. _________________ Working far too hard to keep you lot happy to be worrying about when to have the next party
