My Video Problems

I've downloaded dvplayer0.3 from tmhare.mvps.org I'm trying to capture the video from my JVC GR-D74U I can get a picture from my JVC minidv but that's all. no audio Also, the buttons on the player are dead, What's wrong? Do i need a firewire? or can it even be done?

DV Player is just that, it's a dv player.

You should have movie maker installed if you are using windows me/xp/vista, which will work if you use firewire, a neccessity.
