I have down loaded the driver from MEDION for my camcorder and it still wont let me down load the movie in movie maker, comes up with:

Import video could not find a compatible video device.

It is a dv camcorder MD 80566

My laptop is vista home premium.

Please can anyone help

How are you connecting it?
It needs to be with the firewire, (dv/IEEE1394) cable, not USB.
