|
|
| I have Sony HandyCam DCR DVD108 connected via USB to my Toshiba Satellite but Windows Movie Maker does not recognize it. It says no device detected. Any help available? Oh, it does not have a firewire port on the camera only RCA connection and USB. |

Which version of movie maker?
Most don't work with mpeg files which are those that are on a dvd.
You have two options, buy an app that will edit mpegs, like ulead videostudio, adobe premiere elements etc, or convert the mpegs to wmv and use movie maker.
Best way to work with dvd files is.
Copy vobs (the mpegs are wrapped into vob packages and will be found in the video_ts folder on the dvd) to your hard disc.
IMPORT - not capture - to your chosen programme.
Here's some help with converting vobs.
