|

Hi
First post so be gentle!
I am trying to upload a home movie (filmed on a non-digital camcorder and saved to a DVD) into premier elements 3.0 to enable me to edit the movie and then upload it to a website.
Although I can get the original dvd to play correctly through my PC (windows media, Creative, etc)I cannot get Adobe PE to import the files correctly.
For example I have a disk with 14 chapters and all 14 can be imported to PE BUT EVERY DVD I try PE seems to ignore my chapters and imports in about 4 sections with me unable to use the first section as it is only a quarter of the screen image is there. (The whole section of movie but zoomed in so only a quarter page is visible).
Sorry this is so long but I found it hard to explain!
Thanks in advance for all your help.

Are you sure version 3 has full mpeg support, isn't elements now on v7?
Do you know how the dvd was made?
What properties the mpeg files have on the dvd?

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
I have made the dvd by transferring the 'movie' from my camcorder to my home recordable dvd player.
The files show up on the dbd as .vob files.
It only causes problems with the first chunk of every dvd - the remaining sections upload to PE3 fine.
