The Canon HV 20 and 30 offer 3 HD recording modes. Apart from the default HDV 1080i mode, you have the HDV(PF25) mode. This mode records with a progressive frame rate of 25 fps, but it is still 1080i and not progressive. What is the purpose and the effect of this mode?

HI Frank,

If it says it's progressive 25fps then it can't be interlaced, either that or the manual is wrong.
