AJAX - Asynchronous JavaScript and XML
Makes web pages seem more responsive by exchanging data with the server in the background so that the entire web page does not have to be reloaded each time the user requests a change. Intended to increase interactivity, speed, and usability.
If you already knew this and don't work in IT - a new career could be waiting for you!
