|
|
Hi,
Great work in getting a forum back up Colin, anyway i'm using iMovie HD to put together a training video for work (5th video (and 1st serious) one i've edited and it's already looking better than one they gave 1st year media students to make) however i'm trying to come up with a way of overlaying text onto video in the middle of a clip.
I did think i could split the clip, and put a title in, but when you do that the video is interrupted at the start of the title. I've tried ThreeGee's plug ins but for anything other than transitions i've found the quality less than stunning.
Is there an easy way to do this or am i going to have to get final cut express (or spend a lot of time in an apple store on final cut) !
Hope someone can help.
Regards
Mark |

Nothing to do with me, guv! I'm "forum-phobic" from now on! All Graham's work this time round.

| Isn't it possible to overlay the text by adding a title to a video track and making it transparent? I don't have a mac, so not familiar with iMovie? |

yup, it is, if you start at the begining of scene.
I'm after a way of putting it int he middle.
If you do that when imovie renders the title it puts a pause in, making in an unsuitable way of overlaying text in the middle of a scene. |
