Colin - I'm very interested in the Canon HV20; would these (or the Pinnacle Studio 11s) cope with it's output?

Fiona - yes. Both apps support HDV in addition to the newer (tapeless) AVCHD codec. I'm testing both Pinnacle Studio 11 and Ulead VideoStudio 11 with a Panasonic AVCHD camcorder next Monday, and I'm hoping to get hold of a Canon HV20 as well (at last!).

... fingers crossed you like it - it looks like the best upgrade for me (would have liked a bigger LCD screen and an adjustable viewfinder but I can live with you just rating it ).

Fiona - just been told to expect the HV20 on Friday, so I can have a play over the weekend!
