For those of you who stay in Troulos, where do you like to eat?
My favourites are Varelli, Paradiso, Agelika and Nektar and Ambrosia.
What are your thoughts?

Didn't enjoy our meal at Paradiso last year. We've eaten at Helen's & the food was nice but we waited about an hour to get served. Old guy doing the barbie was only cooking one chop at a time
Agellika in the Koukias complex was also a decent meal. There's a lovely taverna down the back road, just opposite Christakis. They do great lamb chops. Can't remember the name of it though....begins with "K" I think. |

| hi foxy, do you mean the "sunrise" just round the bend from christakis what was a dirt track and is now concreted (where i met my fate) or cut across the little field ,it's the first one you come to,they have a log fire going, and before you get to the chinese, it must be the "sunrise" real close to the "thanos" studios which look like little bungalows. |

| Patsy - if you cut across the field from Beltsios and then turn left, it brings you out by a little supermarket which has some steps that you go down. The taverna I'm thinking of is just past that suprmarket. Not quite as far along as Christakis & on the opposite side. |

The supermarket is, I think, the "other" Victoria. Run by the same family, and their mum works in it most of the time.
She was very sad last year, as she had just lost her husband.
I know the taverna you mean, but can't remember the name. It's on the road to Asselinos on the left side as you leave Troulos. Haven't eaten there for a few years. I'll try to remember what it's called.
I'll be there 4 weeks today (yipee!), so I'll let you know after then if I haven't remembered beforehand.

The Sunrise is very nice and it is the Thannos Appartments all run by same family .
Down the track on left past Christakis.
Stavros runs the bar & restaurant and i think his sister the little tiny supermarket they have on site now.Their Mother ( Tula ?)is always around and their father does all the cooking on the log bbq /grill ( dont know his name ,Stavros told me it was Adonis but you never know if he's serious )
Have stayed there twice with Kosmar . Used to be a few little appartments and small bar and open air restaurant . Now they have a pool and little shop and much bigger restaurant.
Always go back there to eat or drink or chat a few times on each Skiathos trip _________________ andy s |

| Foxy does the taverna you mean have blue tables and chairs, on the right going down the lane, with your back to the cross roads? |

My guess is the taverna Foxy is talking about is fairly small. The kitchen faces onto the road, and the tables are on the right, as you look into the taverna.
The eating area is covered with vines, and only takes about 30 people max.
I've just decided I'll have at least one meal there when I go the first time this year.
Please, someone, give us the name. It's driving me crazy not being able to remember it!!!
