It has to have sand. Real sand. I prefer it, well the missus does, when access to the sea is easy and smooth, if you know what I mean, not rocky or pebbly or steep shelving.
It MUST have a decent place for lunchtime drinks and grub so a bar/taverna with a view would be nice.
On a bus route would be nice but we also like walking.
We've never been to the island before !
What's your recomendation please ? _________________ Greece is the word ! |

Vromliminos if you fancy a walk down to the beach and Aghia Pareskevi if you just want a gentle stroll up to the sand ... _________________

| Abelakia if you don't mind the steps, enjoy the sand, like a dip and enjoy deep fried kalamari or sardines with a cold beer or a glass of wine without the mayhem of a crowded beach. |

| We like Troulos beach, the bus stop is right at the end of the road down to it, four tavernas. What more can you want?! |

Tsougria - not quite on a bus route but hop off the boat straight on to the sand and a taverna too,
but there are plenty to choose from - also Achladies. _________________ you heard it here first - BOJAN! |

Maratha beach every time!!
Never seen more than 5 people on here at one time a couple of cats and a grumpy old man in his shack who serves REAL chips and makes you feel guilty because you disturbed his daily routine of doing nothing......priceless |

Thanks for the replies, out of interest, are these beaches within walking distance of each other and is it safe to walk along the main road or are there footpath walks ? _________________ Greece is the word ! |
