You can't please everyone all of the time, some people like to wait and not be rushed, others want to eat before it's even cooked.
Spireman - you're the only person I know of this season that has said the food was naff, most customers do return because the food is so good. Perhaps the island should open up McDonalds again, might be more to you're liking!!

| Just being honest and telling the truth, i have no reason to lie about my experience. I do like to take my time eating a meal, but to be sat for 15 minutes before anyone even comes and without a drink is a bit too long. Aprotholis was much better service and the food was in a different league, each to their own. |

Dionissos restaurant, just off Papa D street, by Niko's is really good for food. You can have a 5 course dinner for approx 12.50euros.
Starter, greek salad, main course, coffee and brandy, and when you get the bill you get a complimentary dessert aswell. Not bad.
I work on the door so come and say hi to me.
Suexx | :Hi Sue, we visited you and were so please with the meal we returned again two days later, we were amazed as one of the waiters recognised us from a previous visit about three years ago, we have booked for 2009 for a 4 week stay so we will see you again...many thanks for first class meal at old school Greek prices.... |

We had the Boomerang Club night there on 20th. Considering the chaos our largish party created, I thought the service was pretty efficient. The food was okay.

That raised my eyebrow though. I thought it was quite expensive. Most of the regular tavernas in town were charging €7-10 for normal main courses, in there it was more like €10-13. Whilst on paper that doesn't seem much, that is 30% dearer, and the food was not 30% better.
I would agree that service can be too slow and too fast. 15 minutes of inactivity is too slow. Plonking your starter down 10 seconds after you've ordered and you've not buttered your first slice of bread is too fast. _________________ Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |

well, we found this restaurant on our first night and realy enjoyed it, we werent rushed, food was gorgeous. we used the set menu and all was good. plenty of time between courses to allow food to settke to chat, we got mextaxa with our coffee and a little dish of dessert. we decided to eat here again and it was dreadful. we ordered from the set menu again.
we were still eating our starter and the main course was on our table, no ' are you ready for your next course or anything..' as soon as we had finished that the waiter was over with our coffee and metaxa. no waiting between courses or anything. we were most disappointed as we were so looking forwarded to a nice, relaxed meal.
seems to be a very hit and miss place. it was as if they wanted to close early and go home. to be honest i would have rather they said we are closing early rather than rush us like they did. at least then we could have eaten else where!
and like another poster said, main meals were expensive but the set menu was very good value.
dont think i would eat there again. |

We went twice this year and both times had the set menu, Sue insisted on us having Ouzo!!!! The food was lovely both times and we were never rushed.
The only complaint is that we deffinately had too much liquid!!! Ouzo, water, wine, coffee and Metaxa all in one sitting.
Oh and the dessert they give you is delicious althogh I dont know what it was. _________________ Member of the "I got married in Skiathos" club

Hya everybody.
The Dionissos is Mrs Egg and myselfs favourite restaurant and we were looking forward to being there in September.
Unfortuneatly because of the B******s at XL we don't know when we'll get back.
D,G and Adam are you going back next year the Phileas Fogg route via x,y and z.? Or have you got a bit of inside info about flights from Newcastle |
