Hi, first time on bulletin board. Sue told us about it, she works at Dionisos Taverna. In process of buying house on Skiathos with intentions of moving there once our two teenagers can find their own way. They'll probably follow us out there |

Welcome to the board Donna. With all the migration, I think we'll have to start a new club for people that only visit the island! _________________ Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |

HippyChic - If you take the A 941 going South from Elgin in Morayshire
you' go through Rothes, Craigellachie and then Dufftown. |

Nah! If you're talking whisky, then I will pass on that. My tipple is definitely red and fruity . . . you can't beat a glass of Vimto |

HippyChic - Very many years ago many shops displayed a huge advertising hoarding displaying a bottle of Vimto with the slogan - 'Drink
Vimto and feel rosy all over'. As kids, we took a cheeky delight in
going into the shop and saying 'A bottle of Vimto please and where is
she' ! |

| Hi, Thank you for all your messages. Yes, Dufftown is roughly situated between Inverness and Aberdeen and then a half hour drive from Elgin. I live on the Glenfiddich Distillery. I am responsible for the little library in the village which is open 16 hours per week. We get really cold weather and snow from around October through until May and I dream of living somewhere with long summers and short winters. I have been visiting Skiathos for around 9 years now. When I get off the aeroplane I get upset because I know I have to go back on it 2 weeks later. I do hate flying though, lol! |

Hi Donna, please tell me what route you take to Skiathos, coming from the same area we go, Aberdeen - Gatwick going again next year. We went with First Choice the last 2 years but I think they've discontinued some of their flights. How old are your teenagers? We have 2 also |

| we used to fly Aberdeen to Gatwick then Gatwick to Skiathos but for the last few years have been flying from Newcastle direct to Skiathos. My kids are boy aged 18 and a half and a 16 year old girl. He has been unable to come with us for the last two years due to being in the Army. Normally we stay with George at the Amalia Appartments at Koukounaries. His drinks are definately the cheapest on the island. |
