I do believe that it was Roman Abramovich. Believe it or not this was actually a news item on Greek TV which I saw whilst in Crete. At least I got to see some of Skiathos whilst I was away!
Greek TV news kept me entertained for a good hour each evening whilst I was waiting for the other three to use up all the hot water in the shower...I can only describe it as "interesting". |

It was an amazing boat (ship!). We too heard it was Abramovich (also heard it was Putin) but if you heard it on the news Skidsy it must be right.
Whoever was on it had vast amounts of money |

Banana? < LOUD groan >
Asselinos was already lost as far as I could see... mega building happening there.
But - the Skiathos Football team??????? _________________ "If you want others to be happy, practice compassion.

Mr Abramovich was in town (well on his yacht) in Skiathos last week - he actually was there with 4 of his other superyachts and they all moored off Tsougria for about three days - when it was windy. Got a great view of them from Kalamaki!
Also Prince William was there with Kate Middleton on The Virginian - this yacht moored just outside the harbour last week. Putin was there with Abramovich. |

A mate of mine has just got back from Skiathos. He stays with his sister who lives next door to the Lalaria Hotel. He's just told me that Abramovic tried to hire Tsougria for the week & the Mayor told him to get lost |

Now I'm confused! We saw The Virginian moored in the harbour and thought it was Abramovich. I don't think it can have been Prince William, there were no security guards round it at all and surely if it had been royalty there would've been loads?
Last year when Tom Hanks was there for the filming of Mamma Mia he had plenty of security. |

| Hi - hope I'm not changing the subject too much from Mr A's yacht. Elle - we are like you banana fans but occasionally we like to pay a visit to Asselinos. What's happening there? (You said in your post lots of building going on). When we went late May it didnt look open. Going back in 3 weeks - is Asselinos a no go this year? |
