This was my 3rd visit to Skiathos with the last trip being 3 years ago--too long!!

Was a bit put off by the weather forecast before leaving and we were treated to an almighty downpour and thunderstorm on our first night. Unfortunately, this set the scene for the next few days. Sat and Sun were cloudy with torrential rain and also Thursday.

Mon, Tues and Weds were very nice and we managed to get in some quailty time on the beach, work on the tan and swim in the sea.

Apparently they had had very little rain in the last 2 months before we landed!

So, weather was'nt great.....It also looked as if the whole population of Liverpool had descended on the Island and everywhere you looked there was a sea of red flags and scousers. These disappeared on the Weds though to get to Athens.

We even ran into some Chelsea Headhunters who had booked their Holiday in anticipation of making the final. They were awful. Luckily, we never ran into them again. Hopefully, they wont go back-They were extremely aggressive and rude, every other word being the C*** word.

Despite this, we had a great time--the island was as I remembered it, very beautiful, and even ran into some people I got to know on my last visit.

Will defiantly go again--hoping to squeeze a trip in in Sept as long as Liverpool or Chelsea are not playing nearby!!

Regarding beaches--

Made it to Troulos and Koukanaris which were lovely. Spotted Jelly fish over at Ag Elena though and heard a story of a couple suffering some nasty stings the week before....
