Think it's right at the bus stop, mate. Where the path goes down to Koukias / Agellika.
We had a meal there last year, I enjoyed mine but Mrs Foxy wasn't fussed. |

| hi darrell, see restaurants and tavernas forum, under soula's mum at paradiso. the paradiso has been closed for the past few daytimes ,but open in the evening, due to christo's (the owner) mother in law being so ill in hospital, yes they do love children very much, have two of their own, but this is a major upset in the family, the taverna is right next to number 18 bus stop going to koukanaries. can be chilly at night so take a jacket. |

| Cheers Patsy,I knew that Soula's mum was ill as I spoke to her about 3 weeks ago.She said her mum would be in hospital for something like 16 weeks and would be in Thessolonika.I think they have a young son called George and a little baby who was born in Sept or Oct last year.Soula seems very pleasant on the phone. Is she from Skiathos? |

Hi Darrell
Soula is a lovely person. How come you were talking to her on the 'phone? Have you booked your accomodation direct? If so, where are you staying?
The Paradiso is great. The food is always good, and they have enough space to allow you to take your time and not get rushed.
If you are staying in Troulos can I please also recommend, as I always do, taverna Varelli opposite Paradiso. Very well worth a visit.
Whatever you do, have a great time out there.

| We are staying at the Diamond studios so we thought it might be nice to pay the taverna a visit to show a bit of loyalty,we will also tie it in with a visit to see my old buddy Capt Nickos at the Appaloosa and old matey boy at the Koukias. |

| Christos is from Glossa on Skopelos but as far as I'm aware, Soula is from Skiathos. Can't wait to see them again in two weeks time... |

...let me say straight from the off - The Paradosi is in my top 3 of places to eat in Skiathos.
It would be perfect if the swallows could be disuaded from nesting under the eaves - it is "unnerving" when you get a table under one of their nests
...and let me say right at the death I LOVE all gods creatures too and would not wish the Swallows (or House Martins) any harm either. |

Hey Tall Man
The swallows, or possibly house martins, are wonderful!!
Last year I sat for ages in Paradosi watching the babies take their first flight. It was truly magical seeing them fly just a few feet at first, then leave the taverna for good, following their parents.
A highlight of my holiday.

| Guy, is the Varelli the place with the straw umbrellas, you know what I mean. As you come up the lane from Asselinos, it's on your left, if so we had some great meals there in 2005, last time we went. Paradisso is good though. Must try Infinity Blue this time. |

Varelli is the place with the straw roof!!
As you come into Troulos down the Asselinos road you pass Morfo on your left, then reach the junction where you turn left for the town and right for Koukonaries.
Varelli is on the left, on that junction. It's the last taverna in Troulos as you go out towards the town. Directly opposite Paradiso.
