The top of Papadiamantis Street has always been a little unexciting but not for much longer, the area is set to change with a new post office, bank and many new businesses springing up every day,
Check out the new taverna with it's proud owner.
Anyone recognize this person ?
In fact the town is now expanding out towards the ring road at an alarming rate , remember this used to be a dusty road that linked the town with places like the airport and the acropolis, not any more the ring road is now most defiantly part of the town and in the very near future you will hear people say "we are staying in the town" when in fact the will be on the ring road. |

She used to own the 7 steps bar, previously know as Glam I think and now owned by the Rock and Roll bar.
The place has been completely refurbished with new a kitchen, something different.

If you mean the Folia, then no. The Folia has changed hands though. The older people that ran it have been replaced by a young couple. She posted on here when they first took it over, saying it had been taken over by a "newly wed young couple" and they had previously been associated with a beach taverna somewhere else on the island - don't recall.
My worry was the breeze block sized chunk of excellent Mousakka I always ate at the Folia was going to turn into a round clay pot of tasteless stodge.
It was still a sizeable piece cut from a large one, but was only about half the height of the older version, and had a fraction of the taste. Sorry, but true.
On the plus side, the speed of service has tripled, and the creaky old parasols have been replaced by much larger, sturdier models. The girl herself was a real sweetie. She updated us with the weather forecast, which looked like it was going to be really bad, (it was), and then when someone came round to tout some trainers to them, she asked if we were interested. _________________ Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |
