Beach is on North coast to the east and adjacent to Mandraki Elias beach bay (GHOURNES ) on map. It is about 2.1 Km walk from Bus stop 23 at Koukounaries, if you go north on a sandy track (Heavy on the legs) from the bus stop past Hotel Caravos, Mustang car rental etc., (you join the dirt road on the north coast from Aghia Eleni, there was a sign post at this point last year for each beach), or follow parallel track starting near Kokounaries Supermarket Sky with sign saying Lamini Xerxi that ends by walking around the edge of a field before joining the north dirt road. You can also approach from the west on a dirt road starting near Aghia Eleni beach (3.5 Km) that follows the north coast line that is passable for most vehicles though at your own run a risk with a hire vehicle, this dirt road carries on to Aselinos beach or back over the hills to Koukounaries or Troulos.
It is a taverna, the picture was taken in the morning, you can see a truck that belongs to someone working at the taverna, you can also see a lady on her own that was the first arrival on the beach that day
I hope to be staying in Koukounaries tomorrow

Maureen ,
"Hidden Beach" is Kriffi Ammos or Kriffi Amoudia as I've seen on an old map . It is the first beach you come to if you take the track on your right just before you get to Ag Eleni ( think there is a small signpost ) . If you keep going the next beach is Xerxes then Elias then you come to Agistros . Agistros is one of my favourites and usually very quiet . If the Meltemi is blowing it can get rough though ! _________________ andy s |
