We have been unable to go to Skiathos last year, have been going there since 1993.

Can anyone give us an update on the track access to the beach, Tavernas and sun loungers umbrellas etc?

The "gate" at the top of the hill is gone, so the track down to Banana is "open". It is very rough and I would have said 4WD only, but there was a standard Peugeot 205 down there last week, so a careful driver can get down.

There were 2 establishments on the beach open. Neither are the "old" banana taverna. I did not use either place, and there were so few people there, I can't comment on popularity or otherwise.

There were a few umbrellas around - struck me as we were too early.

It was bad enough putting up with the motor bikes,if we have to dodge cars as well,then I think another destination next year

Just got back from Skiathos and the beach was packed! Lots of loud jazz fusion music and the gay men were well goodlooking! George Micheal look-a-likes! As for the nudists! Well! they were all bald!
