This was originally posted by Ian in the weddings forum, but it is asked frequently, so I'll sticky it here so we have instructions anyone can refer people to. I will just add something which seems to have affected a few people.
To interpret the tags, (img, url etc.), you must have BBCode enabled in your profile. That is the board default, but a number of people have got stuck with this disabled. If you follow the instructions and it doesn't work, (typical symptom is that the tags and url are shown and look correct, but it doesn't retrieve the picture), check your profile.

OK, Here goes ...
Create an account with Photobucket
Go to Photobucket http://photobucket.com/
Register/Log in
Upload photos
Click the browse button
This will search your PC for the files as you know where they are stored
Example C:\ My Documents\My Photos\Wisbeth wedding Pics.............
Double click on the photo of your choice
Click the upload button
There is an option to upload a number of photos but you will need to select them one by one.
Once uploaded you will see your image hosted on your page in Photobucket.
Check the size of the Photo
Double click on your photo,
Below your picture the size will be displayed
EXAMPLE
MG_2047.jpg (rename)
.jpg cancel
Picture by Wisbeth
640 x 480 (140 kb)
If its larger than 640 x 480, you will need to resize it.
Above the photo there is a resize icon, from the drop down menu on the icon select the message board option 640 x 480
Posting the photo
Below your photo in photobucket are some options.
Click in the window marked IMG
It will flash yellow and say copied
Paste (CTRL V) into the message window on the bulletin board
Click preview
If your photo appears ...
Submit ............................................................ |
