Hippychick will probably kill me for this but quite a number of Banana regulars migrated to Abelakia in june.
Mainly because of Leftheris but the food, the atmosphere, the music and the lack of wasps made it just perfect.
We will definately be spending most of our time there in september.

When Glenn first went with the lads they found this beach and thought it WAS banana so one of the lads stripped off completely.
Wasnt until the year after we actually discovered where Banana actually was!! _________________ Member of the "I got married in Skiathos" club

| I don't think it was just the food and lack of wasps that caused people to forsake Banana Beach for Abalekia - people were driven off the beach by the loud music (sorry, loud thump thump noise) coming from the far Cantina last Saturday. We could hear it on the far side of the small beach beyond the rocks. Several people have said they will not go back to Banana next year, which is a great pity because it is still a lovely beach. Having said this, we still had a great 4 weeks in Skiathos and will be going back next year. |

Too bloody right, she is fuming! You mustn't go there, it's awful. The beach isn't suitable for couples, families, singles, stag parties etc. The sea is very dangerous at this beach and must be avoided at all costs - ESPECIALLY from 8th - 22nd August this year!!!!!!!!
And yes Kriandos, you're right . . . if I spot you in Lymewood Farm, you're dead |

| I can't quite work this out. Is it after Koukounaries but before Banana and if it is how do you get down there? I'm going the week before Hippy Chic but want to get my space sorted before she arrives. |

used to go there back in 1885 when xenias hotel was still operating and stefanos were running the water sports.
the key to it all is that theres 1000 steps going down but up they feel like a million plus...........
sos i dont think yv all got nothing to fear about space or crowds comming. |
