| Afraid I've gone for imported beer although I mainly drink Mythos. I find Amstel a bit gassy (can't remember if it's the draught or bottles) and it bloats me. |

Carafe of house wine with lunch then a couple or so long dry martinis (or pina coladas at Bar Fly or Jimmys) as aperatifs then a bottle of wine or 2 (recommend Golden Samena from Samos) with dinner followed by 1 or 2(ish) 7 star Metaxas at Kazbar, Husb & Dad prefer Mythos. _________________ you heard it here first - BOJAN! |

| Amstel or Mythos, but boy does my breath stink the following mornings after an Amstel session.Always a few metaxas at the end of my meals and sometimes a couple of Ouzo and sprites to start out the evening. |

Tricky, because it tends to be a time of day thing. With lunch and maybe an odd extra during the afternoon, Mythos. Wine/Retsina for sundowners and with dinner, and then Ouzo on the balcony with a candle and some pistachios as a nightcap.
Voted Mythos, because by volume, it is probably what I drink most of. _________________ Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |

I must admit it does depend on the time of the day, Mythos for breakfast about 10.30 and down on the beach (I do work nights!!!) Retsina with lunch and then nothing as I'm working at 18.00!! Start about 03.00 on the Metaxa or Famous Grouse!!
Although now and again I love a Frappe with Baileys!! |

hi Jools
Ouzo Plomari is proberbly the best Ouzo, Made in Plomari on lhe Island of Lesvos, generally reguarded as the Island that makes the best Ouzo 's,so you must try one Jools Filimou, Shadowfax has just remind me of the wonderful Frappe Baileys ummm only 54 days or so to go .

Mythos wins against Amstel, for me but it has to be ice cold and served on a nice warm beach.
Must admit though I have been introduced to the delights of Tsoupiro, and that tends to be my current favourite ... |

I used to go for the Ouzo... but after lan's last trip (he is prone to leaving me "home alone" because I don't have as much leave from work as he does!!) he brought me back a bottle of Tsipouro. I have been converted !!!
My choice would be Tsipouro by day and a nice Metaxa after a meal.
Why do the Greek's frown upon women drinking? Whenever we order a brandy they always give it to Ian !!! _________________ Chris |
