Hi Gary, welcome to the board.
We have been in September 5 times, usually taking the last charter of the season from here, so end of September. Some of the clubs on club strip have closed by then, but most other things in town are open.
The weather is unpredictable. We have had weeks with cloudless blue skies, and weeks where it rained most days. The rain tends to come as heavy showers, so as long as you keep an eye open, it is not a serious problem usually. In either case, it can be a little cold in the evening if you ar enormally that way inclinded - my wife often has a shawl or jumper for evening outings for example. _________________ Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |

| Hi and Welcome, It may be a bit cool in October especially in the evening so light coats and maybe jumpers should be packed . Some places do shut down about Oct but there will still be plenty of tavernas open. |

Hi Gary
Welcome to the board ...
October will be noticably quieter, and you will see the island wind down for winter, However you will meet the locals. The tavernas that are open will be those owned by the locals and they will look after you.
If the weather stays friendly you will have warm seas and it will seem like you have the beaches to yourself. Watch out for the bus timetable it may change at short notice. Its a great time to be there and make friends and watch the olives ripen on the trees ... _________________

| Thank you so much for your answers. Has anybody got some ideas for a day out for Sam ( 5) and Oliver ( 3 ). We love the beach at Troulos and the pool at our apartments. Victor is great at Maria Yiannis. |

Hi Gary & family! Welcome. Where are you staying this year?
We stayed at Maria Yiannis last year. This year we are at Boudouriani, further up the road, and we go in 11 days <turns cartwheels across the living room floor> |
