Wife and kids waiting to see if they got extra roles. It's 70 euro a day each for three days in the old port plus one day being sorted out by the stylists. They needed 120 tourists for the Skiathos filming and for those who are really really keen I'll get the phone number posted on here later.
We were numbers 91-94 on the last of the three days where you could visit a researcher so you never know... |

| If they get the job you can get a flight on weds 29th from Manchester for £179 return but you have to go for 2 weeks , its £349 for a week .Thats with Thos Cook. |

Things like that really make my blood boil. A bunch of people who get vast salaries for simply doing their job interfere with other people doing theirs, (note taverna issues), and worse, people who have DONE their job and paid to go on holiday.

It might make your blood boil but the taverna owners know only too well how much Kefalonia made out of Captain Correlli so I'm sure they are rubbing their hands with glee for three days inconvenience. |

I am visiting Skiathos between 24/8/07 - 7/9/07 for the 3rd time and would love to try to get a small part!
Have seen the musical , set in the present day about a daughter trying to find out who her father is, her mother runs a small taverna on a Greek island.
Just so happens the film is being made by film company owned by Tom Hanks who has a place on Skiathos.
People in the film version include Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Julie Waters and Colin Firth!
TELEPHONE NUMBER would be really appreciated.

To my knowledge Tom Hanks owns a place in Anti Paros, not Skiathos.

Great to see you posting, Geof... I hope that you are feeling MUCHbetter.
My Greek instructor (who teaches Greek in L.A. to the 'Hankkids' as she says, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson's kids) agrees w/ Geof.- that T Hanks owns property on Anti Paros, not Skiathos. Though if he joins up with his crew, as producer of Mama Mia, he might WANT to own a house on Skiathos...

Our guys, girls, soldiers all, stay for years and then they come home only to be told they have to turn around and go back, long before they should (unless they're missing a few limbs or their brains) - not that they EVER should have to go .... don't get me started...
