Hello, everybody, I am Yorkshire Pudding and am really looking forward to using this site. My partner and i went to Skiathos for the very first time in May 2005. We fell in love with the island and promised to save up and take the kids the next time we visited. We have just booked to go Aug this year. Sooo excited!!. Big question however, hope somebody can advise - All 3 kids are vegetarians. Any recommendations for restaurants which will cater for them? _________________ Yorkshire Pudding |

Well done to your 3 kids for being veggies!!
As a vegetarian myself, I can recommend almost any restaurant in any area on the island for vegetarians, as Greek cuisine caters for vegetarians. Not just Greek salads, but loads of other stuff, like stuffed vine leaves, Sagnaki etc.
Hope you enjoy. |

Welcome Yorkshire Pudding, I'm veggie too and find that most of Greek starters are veggie. When we eat out in Skiathos I sometimes choose
2-3 starters instead of starter and main course. Just be sure to ask about stuffed peppers, as they are sometimes stuffed with meat. |

Hayley...I am a Yorkshire lass, now lost to the south!. Thank you for your replies.I have just told one of the kids we are going and she said (in a typical 16 yr old attitude - need i say more?), "yeah looks lovely, but what is there to do except go to the beach"?. Good point, as last time, me and the other half went on our own, we had a fab relaxing time: this time we need to cater for the kids...any tips to keep the holiday varied, and how to avoid long faces??? _________________ Yorkshire Pudding |

| I usually find burying them up to their necks in sand, does the trick. Just feed them a sandwich every now & again. |
