i'm well we're off to skiathos this september for the first time. we are staying in Skiathos town. am really looking forward to it.
do you think it will be busier this year with the film Mama Mia being released in July? |

Hi mrsdibdob, where did you get that name from, its great.
Personally, I don't think the film will have that much effect on the island this year but it might do for next year. September is a lovely time to be in Skiathos hope you enjoy it. |

hubby's nickname is dibdob (long story) so on some forums i go as mrsdibdob!!
we have heard nothing but good things about skiathos. been to kos, zakyntos (twice), santorini and halkidiki already. |

I'm not sure the film will have that much effect either. With Captain Corelli, Kefalonia was really "part" of the story, a truish history, with Mama Mia, the island is more a "backdrop". DR1, (Danish "state" TV company), is showing an English crime series at the moment called "Prime Suspect", we watched it, but it didn't make me want to pack my bags and fly to Southall despite it being the setting!
