Hello all 
I'm pretty new to the board but from what I've seen it's good fun and soo informative!
We (myself and my fiance Neil) went to Skiathos for the first time last year and we loved it! Soo much so that when we got engaged in December we decided that we want to go back to get married there!
So for the moment you'll probably see me most on the wedding forum but there is the possibility of a holiday this year on the pretence of looking at venues, lol!

Thanks everyone for welcoming us on board!!
We stayed in the Sunset Apartments last year, we thought it was a great location. The rooms were basic but we expected that and they were clean which is always the most important thing!
If I'm honest we hadn't heard of Skiathos before but we saw a cheap deal with our local travel agents, Rosetta Travel, read some reviews which were brill and booked straightaway! Best decision ever! We went in late June and got some great weather. Trying to decide now between May and June for the actual wedding. May might keep costs down slightly but I'm not sure what the weather's like in May. Is it good?
We can't wait to get back now already!!!

| Hi you can never tell what the weather is going to be like normaly it is beter in june than may. all i can say is that we moved out here on friday the 13th may 05, and linda aunt came on the 20th for two weeks and it rained for 11 out of 14 days. also last year the same two weeks was bad weather. it is such a fantastic island that rain or no rain you will have fab wedding, but if you have lots of family coming over then try to get a boat to take them to and from the bourtzi to the reception.. |

Thanks for that! We are now considering going over in early June for our holiday and the first two weeks in June for the actual wedding!
