The Skiathos Bulletin Board

Hi All! Off to Skiathos on 6 June - v excited. Staying in the Skiathos Palace - which concerns me a bit as I've read a lot of mixed reviews. Can anyone calm my nerves? Also - any hints/tips/info greatly appreciated - desperate for this holiday! Cool

plz relax..........
the palace is our oldest hotel and once considered a 5 star.
after many face lifts id consider it okay, but who stays in the room at summer other to sleep and take a shower?
the hotel is located uphill and some of the rooms got spectacular views, but the main story is that 6th of june aint the crazy times and kukunaries beach (among the 10 best of the world) still not very busy.
you can get to the beach from the hotel in 5 min walk, and in kukunaries there are many nice restaurants, and bars.
the bus stop is near by for visiting town and other beaches , and i would recoment the rental of a power boat from kukunaries beach for a trip to the north beaches.

Thanks all for your advice - quite excited now! Just been and bought my factor 8 & 15!..

Can't find any pics though - bit new to all this Rolling Eyes

The "Rogues Gallery" is full of pictures of members. You can visit by clicking this link. Suejet is famous for spotting other board members and pouncing on them, although I believe we were only spotted once - and that was the day after a boozy evening with many board members at Alexandros taverna last September.

In fact, my last picture in the Rogues Gallery is from that very same evening at Alexandros taverna...
