|
|
| Visited Skiathos in 1999 and 2000 and, on both visits, had excellent meals at a taverna which neither of us can remember the name of!!! It was on the right hand-side of the road going towards Koukounaries, near the back of the lake and, we think, near a bus stop and a large Chinese restaurant; it wasn't big and didn't have a lot on the menu but what they had was good..........stuffed squid being what I remember......... and need to know how to find it, please, when we are on the island again later this month - any ideas???? |

Could be Ilias Orchard, down a runway-like drive before the Agustera bar, or Apostolas which is just after The Stamelos bar now named Captain Michael. _________________ angela |

| Thanks for replies - somehow think it might be Apostolas - think we will aim for Bus Stop 23 and see from there! Honestly, they make it so easy for us with th Bus Stop numbers and we still can't remember........! |

| Found it - and it was Apostolas, now named Kaptain Michalis and hugely extended into a much bigger restaurant with loads more tables - alas, no more stuffed squid on the menu but what we had was good - thanks for pointing us in the right direction. |

Apostolios/Kapitan Michaelis is one of our "never miss" places as well. Michael always knows what is best in the oven, listen to him. _________________ Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |
