Does anyone know if Bonapartes is still in Skiathos town? We went there a couple of times last year and the food was gorgeous. Cool

Never eaten there, always looks like an "expensive international" menu, not a real Greek one.

Its fantastic, food is excellent service with a smile, it is more expensive than Dinos nikcos etc, but well worth it, after all you are on holiday!!

The price is not what turns me off actually. If I wanted "international cuisine" I'd eat at the equally raved about but equally never visited Windmill and have the view as well.

I am on holiday, in Greece, I want authentic Greek food.

We've never done Bonaparte's or Windmill either. Tried Bombay Garden one night but wasn't fussed. I'm difficult to please when it comes to Indian though.

Yeah, well if you want a decent curry, you have to be in England.

I was desperate on holiday in Puerto Rico, Grand Canaria a few years back, (if you've ever been there, you will understand). There was a curry house in the extreme East of the resort, family that ran it were from Birkenhead, best curry I've had in these "foreign" years.

Went to Jailhouse first time ever in May, very nice food, but could have got it in England , nothing Greek. Was disapointed, but perhaps it had been built up too much by others and I expected too much. Not knocking it, but will stick to tavernas from now on.

Have had good food here and liked it for a change. This year weird experience. Tried to go in at 11pm to be told they were just closing - an odd time to close in Greece. The waitresses were leaving and seemed to be off to party. Tried again the 2nd night to be told that they had run out of food due to the wind! All seemed very odd.

We ate at Bonaparte's when we first visited in 2002 and again last year. Much as we love traditional Greek food, as vegetarians the choice in traditional tavernas can become a little monotonous over 2 weeks, so we welcomed the variety that the Bonaparte's menu offered. The food and service were excellent and we're looking forward to eating there again this August.

When we first visited Skiathos, the restaurant was recommended to us by our rep and several guests at the Hermes and everyone raved about the amazing toilets! They are rather nice... as far as toilets go that is. Laughing
