We love exploring and last year we found Kechria. I know all the beaches on the south coast road but want to find some more off the beaten track, albeit would rather they had a taverna. And most do. I know all about Krifi Amos as everyone raves about it, first on my list this year (does it have a taverna?) and also Ag Eleni (is that where everyone watches the sunset?!). What others would anyone recommend?
Thanks.

Hi Diamond

Ag Eleni is good for watching the sunsets as are both Banana beaches, there's a taverna and a beach bar and it's also a stopping off point for some of the round the island boat trips. I love this beach it's still a little bit 'rough around the edges' and it's a tough old life when you have to share it with less than 10 other people - that is early May and October - and lie on your sunbed looking out over Pelion, the gentle waves lapping the shore, a little music in the background........ and the beach puppy nipping your toes!

I wish !! Going 11th July so I am sure it will be much busier! Any other suggestions? Wish there was a Boomerang night in July. And yes, I know I could have organised one as someone suggested but I dont know people on the island well enough to have been able to do it this year. Not in Skiathos Town anyway where we are staying. Would love to meet everyone. One day Crying or Very sad Smile

One of our favourites is Micro Aselinos!
It has a Taverna but not always open.
Go up past the Dogs home and Monastery and its the next beach you come to. You will have to park on road and walk down, ther is a easier path if you find it.

Aghia Eleni isn't bad...a bit scruffy & shingly but quiet enough. Walked up to Xanemos one day but it was blowing a hoolie & not really a day for lounging on the beach (hence the walk!)

One not so nice day there is nothing like a summer's day here. Crying or Very sad

Yeah, Foxy's right - best not to go to Ag Eleni then!!

Xanemos beach is very shingly but on a combo day of sun with a few little white clouds and a slight breeze the colours are stunning and as I don't like crowds..............perfect as they are usually flying overhead.
