| Bit of a broad question this but can anybody give me any advice on the cheapest way to get to and stay on Skiathos as a single. Package holiday co always require hefty single room supplements if I remember rightly. With thanks. |

Hi Rob
The best way, although perhaps not the cheapest, would be to book your flights and accomodation separately.
Most places on Skiathos charge per room.
Have you been to Skiathos before, and do you know roughly where you would want to stay?

| The Hotel Muses in Koukounaries have a few small rooms right at the back of the property. They stuck me & my boyfriend in one 4 years ago so they may not rent them out as single rooms although the guy in the room next door was definitely on his own. Had we known what we know now we would've complained and asked to be moved as the other rooms in the hotel are loads bigger. |

| hi Guy, yes i've been a number of times before always with the wife, the last time being last month. I just fancy going again in September to catch the end of the season. Don't mind which end of the island i stay, what day or time I travel or where, as long as its not up mountain somewhere. I've looked at booking separately even getting a flight to the mainland and getting a ferry but all the flights and accomadation i've looked up seem to be on a par as booking a package but then you get hit for under occupancy as all places seemed to be based on two sharing. It seems so unfair for the people who need or want to holiday on their own that there doesn't seem to be a cheap option for them. |

I would trawl through the accommodation lists on the main site http://www.skiathosinfo.com
Many of the hotels etc. have their email addresses on there & you could try contacting them directly. That's what we've done in the past. The Lalaria hotel charged my m-in-law about 35 euro per night, whereas we as a couple paid 45 euro. |
