Hello troops, It's silent Swinjohn here!!!!
I know that this may be a bit sudden, but having just returned from 2 weeks on Thassos(whispers quietly), I didn't realise just how much I need my annual Skiathos fix. I have to say that it was the wierdest of feelings landing in Skiathos on 20th June and not getting off!!!!
I am therefore on the brink of booking for mid to late June2009,but would love it to coincide with a meet if it was possible. Appreciate many of you haven't had this years break but anyone already decided for next year, it would be great to hear about it.
I can't hold off too long cos flights from Newcastle to Skiathos/Thassos get booked up pretty damn quick.
Enjoyed Thassos...............but God's little corner has it beaten hands down!!!! _________________ Cheers,
John and Gail.

Hi Swinjohn. I think quite a few people have already booked for next year. We certainly have and would love another Boomerangers meet up. We will be there from May 29 till June 26. Guy Pettigrew is the guy who has been organising the meet ups, but I think he will only be there for 1 week end May/beg. June. How are your organising skills?

Dear K n G,
Well when I was a "working holic", I used to organize all manner of different things, but they tended to be within my normal working/ social environment. In other words well within my comfort zone cos I was suitably acquainted with locations/geography people et al!!
What's needed here is obviously an Ian or an Adrianx, a Lindy and Terry, a Suejet or even a Foxy.
Definitely a shepherd or shepherdess..............I'll be a willing sheep!!!!
I take it you guys would be attendees??? _________________ Cheers,
John and Gail.

Hello Swinjohn. You can count on us. We went to the June get together at Varelli Taverna that Guy organised. It was good fun meeting all the 'names' and putting faces to them. We even met a couple that we met about 5 years ago in Skiathos, they weren't even Boomerangers. Guy met them on the beach that day and brought them along. Small world!!

2009 eh? Well, Swinjohn, no one can suggest you don't think ahead!
My first visit next year is almost certainly going to be 29 May to 5 June.
Very happy to organise a Boomerang night out during that week, once we get closer to the date.
Whatever and whenever, though, having Kath n' George there is a must. They brought a real sparkle to the June meet up earlier this year.
If this is too early for you then sorry, but it's all down to you (or Kath n' George !) to pull one together.
Have fun.

Thanks for the offer Guy, but I'm afraid that it's just a tad early for us.
Hi Ian, good to hear from you. Will you be running a calendar on when troops will be on the Island next year. In that way it would be easier to assess if a meet mid to late June was viable?? _________________ Cheers,

Afternoon troops,
Sorry couldn't wait for replies on next year's visits, so I've bitten the bullet and gone ahead and booked.
19th June to 3rd July are our dates and we'll be in residence at the Ostria in Aghia Parashkevi...........and already looking forward to it!!!!!!
If no-one else is there, which I very much doubt, it looks like Kath n George and Gail n I for the reunion or at least a few swift ones!!!!!
O.K with you George??? _________________ Cheers,

Hi Swinjohn. I've no doubt there will be quite a gathering in June, be it at the beginning or at the end or even in the middle!! Always up for a few swift ones, a good meal and friendly company. We always stay in Koukounaries, the Big Bad Wolf is very good (Magda's brother) but anywhere you fancy is okay with us. It's a long time off but it's nice to be able to plan ahead especially on a night like this!!! Absolutely pouring down!

And it's absolutely shankin' it down here too and has been for hours.
I agree that there's likely to be a canny few going, so we'll take a closer look nearer the time, but I think we've likely got a "goer".........
A bit like old Foxy..........one tweak at his brush and he's out of his den in a flash.
Ah Foxy son, it was like shootin' fish in a barrel. Hope you're keeping well. _________________ Cheers,
