| Stop that! It's just that after Abelakia, Elias is our favourite beach. The picture I've posted is to the left hand side when you get onto the beach. |

There are three main beaches on the Mandraki peninsular.
The one Kath n' George go to is Mandraki beach itself, also called Mandraki Xerxi.
Next, round the headland in an easterly direction (no, I'm not a policeman!!) is Mandraki Elias, shown on some maps as Gournes. Then, still moving east, is Agistros, known as---Agistros!
This one was hit by the high winds on 15 July, and most of the umbrellas and part of the taverna suffered badly.
The picture posted by Dionne, of the ?ship's buoy? painted with stripes, is taken from inside the taverna on Mandraki Elias, at the top of the steps leading down to the beach.
This taverna is not the one Diamond and Tony visited, as there are definately no English people there and the wait for food is really short.
Also, the toilets are clean, albeit interesting!
