| I know how you feel, by the way where is the hotel with the road leading down to the beach. Seeing the dolphins was great too. |

I was about to ask that question myself.....I've never seen it from the air before.
The big hotel is actually the Pounta Hotel (for sale if anyone's interested). Some friends of ours stayed there when we stayed at Alison's place. They said it was a nice hotel but it's obviously a hike to town & back. However the hotel does run a minibus service to the harbour & back. |

| The last I heard about the Pounta Hotel was that it is now run by Italians and I don't think it's available in any of the UK brochures. |

| Teresa, I think they've had to spend quite a lot of money on it over the past couple of years after a lot of complaints; it looks nice at night through my bino's!!! |

The hotel a few years ago was always in the Thomsons brochure, but then it was taken out and I presume sold. Val and I walked there at the time from town and spoke to a few people staying there and they didn't seem too happy about things, the recurring theme was that the pool had been built in the wrong place and was in shade most of the time. _________________ We started with nothing and we have most of it left. |

We stayed there twice in 02 it was in J.M.C I think , it has a good view of the town but is a bit of a hike if you walk .
The staff were superb , it was sold to an Italian company I believe .
Whenever we visit the island we always have a walk to the rocks below the hotel and each time we have never seen anbody around the hotel , shame really as it is a very nice place .
