Our 16 year old wants to be a dentist. Whether he'll get the grades or not I don't know but the thought of 5 years worth of student loan is frightening. His brother wants to do medicine. Looks like we will struggle to get to Skiathos soon
Makes me wonder whether it wasn't better as it was years ago when fewer people went to uni but they got decent grants. |

I had hoped to spend my 50th on Skiathos, but the first flight of the season was not until a week after. That was the only non-September time we've been to Skiathos. I recall nothing of the day itself, a day in the lab.
In Denmark, birthdays with a zero on the end are called "round" birthdays. My 40th birthday I remember much more then my 50th. I celebrated my 40th at the Brenchley Arms, an "English Pub" in Avenida Attuhalpa, Lima, Peru. I was drunk enough to chat up a girlie, that girlie was V, now my wife, who some of you met at the Boomerang Club night last September!
Funny things happen on round birthdays. _________________ Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |

Had my 50th in Skiathos July this year, and what a fab time I had (for what I can remember), I will try and put some of my photographs on for you all to see, well most of them may have to remove a few!!!!!! For some reason my 50th birthday seems never ending, had my celebration July 9th in Skiathos, came home had several nights out with friends, again to celebrate my 50th, then we had a party at home, praying the weather would be nice so that we could spend the time in the garden as 40 plus people is a lot to have in the house at one time. We were so lucky 27th July was a scorcher!!!! and the celebrations went way into the early hours of monday morning. I think that is the end of my celebrations now, but I enjoyed every minute of it, and still feel like I am in my 30's!!!! For everyone out there who has there 50th 60th and any other birthday ending in "0" just remember it is only a number!!! _________________ Karen&Phil

Already planning my 'big one' in Skiathos as both Tony and my birthdays are at the beginning of September next year. It ends in a 0 but I'm not telling wish I could go out and just stay and retire on the island ! We shall see. _________________ www.ClearSpray.co.uk |

Well, from your photo I would have guessed that you were 40's/50's so you've got nothing to worry about.
