Hi Guys
Not been on here for ages but have just booked for two weeks at the Morfo 2 Studios in troulos from 8th August. Will be our 8th time in Skiathos but have never stayed in this accomodation. Can anyone tell me what it's like? Also how long a walk is it from Stavros and family at the Thanos Appartments? As we usually end every evening there we don't want too far to stagger back!
Thanks

Hi, it's just down the road from Thanos, less than a 5 minute walk. We stayed at Morfo in 2006 & at Thanos in 2007.
Have you booked with Kosmar or First Choice? The reason I'm asking is I think First Choice have the slightly newer properties at the back of the pool whereas Kosmar are older but right around the pool area (or up a hell of a slope but they have great views). |

Hi
Thanks for the feedback. We are going with First Choice so will be navigating that 'hell of a slope' after a few bevvies! We ate in the Morfo a few years back so knew the part around the pool, just wasn't sure how far back the other building was. Last time we went they weren't doing evening meals there, does anyone know if they do now? Perhaps you can let me know when you get back shanemorris?!
Many thanks

| You'd have to cross the fields which bring you past Beltsios and lead down to the track to Troulos beach. Morfo is situated on the back road of Troulos...on the right fork which takes you to Asselinos & the dog's home. |

Morfo have started doing evening snacks again, but not the more extensive menu they used to do.
Mind you, the apartments are only a few minutes walk from Appalloosa (captain Niko's place), Paradosi and Vareli in one direction, and Christakis, Rosa and the one Foxy (or anyone else) can ever remember the name of in the other direction.
Enjoy.

Hi
Just got back from staying at Morfo in Troulos, you will have a great time, the apartments are a great base to explore the island and are clean and tidy. getting into town between 4 and 9pm on the bus can be a problem as usual, but taxis to and from town cost around 9 Euros. Dont forget to try Varellis taverna on the junction and Dionysos in town.
It was super warm when we were there and the air con costs 6 euro per day but you dont get a controller to select temp etc so its either on or off. Hire wheels for a few days so you can visit the dogs home and explore some of the North beaches, 50cc bikes are about 8 euros per day or cars from 30 per day, I used Victoria in Troulos and was very pleased.
Please spare a piece of toastie for Oliver the white cat who roams the pool bar hes brilliant and very freindly (see pic below)
hope anyone going to stay at Morfo has as good time as we did.
If there are any questions about the accomodation please let me know.
Buggy 35 Euros per day, Fun Fun Fun and a great way to explore.

| Glad you had a nice time shanemorris. We will look out for the white cat in September as we will be just across the road in Villa Maria and always feed the cats. |

Hi Shanemorris
Thanks for that info. Did you stay in the main Morfo appartments around the pool or in the Morfo 2 that is on the hill behind?
We are going to be in Morfo 2.
Thanks

Hi Andrea
I stayed at the main apartments over looking the pool, I found a photo of apartments up hill please see below but there are also 2 other blocks of accomodation on our level, please see other photos to get an idea im not sure if the white block is first choice or Kosmar, The first choice rep was excellent though always at the pool talking to guests, I spoke to her more than my own rep.

| Seen your photos etc.. on the Morfos. We have booked through Kosmar and we don't really know which apartments we are staying in 1 or 2! Anyway we are not bothered as they both look ok. We are only there for a week so haven't got much time to suss out the local eateries so any info on this would be really appreciated before Sept 4th Also anything that you would recommend as a 'must do in Skiathos' would be great. |
