The Elia, based at the Mandraki Village Hotel is a gem of a place for that "special" meal.
We visited for our final night out of our holiday earlier this September.
The owners have really excelled in providing a beautiful décor creating an ambience we have rarely found in many of the places we have visited in the past.
The food was cooked superbly and presentation was shear perfection, done with an excellence you would expect to see in a top eating establishment anywhere in the world.
We did not meet the chef, but it was very clear he/she was very highly trained and treated their food preparation as an art.
The evening was complimented by the ever attentive staff, who actually seemed genuinely pleased that the assembled diners were enjoying the evening.
At a little over 100euro for the two of us for the evening it is not something you would spend on a meal every night of your holiday,( but to be fair we did indulge ourselves with a bottle of quite expensive wine, and after dinner brandy and coffee), or the bill would have probably been a around the 50euro mark.
But regardless of the cost we came away feeling that we had really enjoyed the experience and made our final night on Skiathos very special. _________________ http://www.pro-tecmotorsport.com |

| We were going to go there on our last night but I'm glad we didn't now with those prices. We had a lovely last meal at Nectar and Ambrosia and we were pleasantly surprised. Mind you it wasn't cheap. |

| Nectar & Ambrosia is lovely, just the service can be slow if they are busy. We've often thought about trying the Elia, it looks really nice from the outside but it always seems quiet so we've never bothered. |
